Tadashi Hara, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hara joined Shionogi & Co., Ltd. in April 1995 and since that time has held roles both in Japan and the US. Mr. Hara began his career with Shionogi as a sales representative in Japan. He joined Shionogi USA Inc. in April 2006, as Corporate Secretary and Director of Accounting and Finance, where he was responsible for all aspects of Finance, Accounting and Tax for the company. During his time with Shionogi USA Inc. he also played a key role to liaise between Japan and the US from the standpoint of not only finance and accounting but also administrative functions. Mr. Hara also served Shionogi USA Inc. as a Director of the Board since July 2009. Mr. Hara is also Treasurer and Secretary of Ezose Sciences Inc., a high-throughput glycomics technology company launched by Shionogi and Sumitomo Bakelite Corporation. Since April 2010, Mr. Hara has been responsible for the budget management for all Shionogi Group Companies, a role held within the Shionogi General Service Company in Japan. Mr Hara holds a B.A. in Literature (Psychology) from Waseda University in Japan.
